Hugues Wisniewski is an independent film director who's used to write, produce and direct his own films and handle the various steps of their creation process from pre to post production including sound mixing and image editing as well as 3d animation.

He also worked for several years as a press photographer at the Cannes Film Festival.

The idea of The Hook came to his mind during the year of 2002 while listening to friends talking about freedom. When thinking about what actually generates this feeling, he realized it all comes down to choice, even though the feeling it creates doesn’t always reflect the actual world we live in. "What does it take to be free?" is the actual theme of The Hook.
