Marcelo Marcondes went to drama school in Brazil where he wrote a few plays in which he acted. Later he studied Theatre and Arts at the San Francisco City College in California. He played in a short film that was presented as an internal project by one of the students of the College of Marin County, California. In The Hook he delivers an astonishing performance, expressing a broad variety of emotions as time passes trapped in this cell. The fact that no text could convey any of his feelings to the audience and that the entire story relied on body and facial expression attracted him to this very challenging role.The outstanding quality of his acting combined with his frequent valuable input during the shooting of The Hook, helped to bring the quality of this short film to the next level.
